Yesterday was a long day. I drove to the Denver airport to retrieve Jamuna and Abe. They traveled alone from Dallas after having been escorted to the gate by Donna D., the kids' surrogate mom at DFW WOW! Thanks Donna!
Jamuna and Abe appeared at the top of the escalator after getting off the plane with all their stuff, stopping at Wolfgang Puck's to pick up some chicken and mac&cheese, and riding the train to the main terminal. They both seemed quite comfortable with this semi-independent travel event. They were a bit grumpy, apparently the result of having stayed up visiting with friends until 4:00 AM. Here is a photo of the four hour drive back to Aspen.
This was the most peaceful ride in the van that I can recall.
Upon arrival at the Aspen condo, we unloaded the van, fussed a bit, ate a snack, and then Prema, Maya, Dr. Goza and I went to the music school to observe a violin master class. We watched a new friend, Serina Huang, beautifully play a piece she will be performing with the Baltimore Symphony this weekend. She is awesome, and her dad is pretty cool too.
